Privacy policy

Quotenod is software for contractors to send quotes, take deposits and set start dates. It is built and run by BYBOWU (bybowu.com). This page says what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: [email protected].

If you are a contractor using Quotenod

  • Account: your name, email, password (stored as a one-way hash) or sign-in links.
  • Business profile: business name, logo, brand color, business mailing address, license label and number, state, time zone, phone, email, payment terms and deposit default.
  • Quotes: items, prices, notes, dates, and every version you send, with a SHA-256 hash of its content.
  • Payments: your Stripe account ID and whether it can take card payments. We never see or store your bank or card details, and we don’t store Stripe keys for your account.
  • Usage events: first-party events such as “quote sent” or “start days set”, tied to your business but never containing names, emails or phone numbers. We keep them for 13 months.

If you arrive from an ad or link

If the link you followed carries campaign labels (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content or ref), we keep them with your session and, if you sign up, with your business, to count which ads and links bring contractors. We don’t keep ad click IDs.

If you are a customer who received a quote

The contractor who sent you the quote decides what’s on it and is responsible for your details. Quotenod processes them for the contractor so the quote can work.

  • Your contact details: the name, email and phone the contractor entered.
  • Your acceptance record: the name you type, the time (UTC), your IP address, your browser’s user agent and the hash of the quote version you accepted. This is the record of your electronic signature.
  • Your start date and deposit: the date you chose and the payment’s status. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see them.

Quote pages have no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.

Processors

  • Stripe (payments, Stripe Connect accounts, our Pro subscriptions).
  • Postmark (sending quote, notice and sign-in emails).
  • Google Analytics 4 (visits to our marketing pages, plus a sign-up count right after you create an account; only after you choose “Allow analytics”; never on quote pages).
  • DigitalOcean (the server that runs Quotenod) and Cloudflare (network and security in front of it).

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, a security cookie against forged requests, and on /build a cookie that holds a random key to your unsaved quote for up to 7 days. Google Analytics cookies are set only if you allow them.

How long we keep things

Quotes, versions and acceptance records are the contractor’s contract records, so we keep them until the contractor deletes them or their account. Unsent quotes built without an account are deleted after 7 days. Usage events are deleted after 13 months.

Export and deletion

Contractors can download everything (JSON plus all accepted quote PDFs) from Account → Export, and delete their account and business data from Account → Delete. Deleting cancels a Pro subscription. A contractor’s Stripe account stays theirs. Customers who want their details changed or removed can ask the contractor or write to us, and we’ll pass it on.

We don’t sell data

We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
